How I crossed Switzerland(4) - Zermatt to Grindelwald

Ok, I survived and Andy enjoyed the first mountain, it's time to go to the next one.

The task today is ride down back to Visp, take the train through the tunnel, and then bike to Interlaken, bike 18 km uphill to Grindelwald, our hostel.

So, shall we?

Relive 'Zermatt-Grindelwald'

After saying goodbye to Rienie, we put on all our clothes and ready to face the cold downhill!

With the last glimpse of Mattern horn

And we got a flat tire!

Because the road was like this

I can't believe that two days ago they were covered in snow

After the tire was fixed, we came to Visp, get some food and packed our bike

lunch for two, the eggs are colored for some reason I never know

Eat like a tired old man, BTW we got the salt can for free

So, the train ride was 20 minutes and 20 euros

we saw a gorgeous lake the second we came out, so we decided to take a detour and surround the lake

its only 15 km more

But there's something you can't record by photo, it's a lot better on site

From biking in the mountains, now we are beneath it

First big town, Thun, and this lake is also the Thun lake

Wow! Just like in Luzern!

you need to feel the atmosphere, though it's still cold

And then we ride along one road just by the lake, small ups and downs

I just can't describe the color here!

I just want to stop and enjoy it!

Time to go back to business!

After a short stop at Lidl, because by the time we arrive in Grindelwald everything will be closed, everything is until 7

So, back to uphill!

We still haven't change the bike back, but I feel my knees are getting better!!

We are getting some snow again!

after 900 m it's snow again!

Actually we can't see the Jungfrau here, but still nice

This is our dinner, took us 2 hours to get everything and also hot water

This guy is dying because its already 9 and we still haven't fed him

Well, this day other than my crave for snowboard, I see the beautiful lake here. I start to enjoy also because I got better after a one day break

though I'm still not completely fit, but I'm now confident to finish the trip! no unnecessary train rides!

and sleeping at a host is so different, well, this is travel, different conditions!

there was one Taiwanese guy in our room but he never talked to us, odd.

so, prepare for tomorrow, we are going to some young ladies!
